Sunrisers Hyderabad have considerably strengthened their chances of qualifying for the Indian Premier League (IPL) playoffs.

They beat Kings XI Punjab by 45 runs on Monday night to move to fourth place in the points table.

David Warner smashed 81 off just 56 balls while Rashid Khan took three wickets to help Hyderabad to an easy win.

The two teams came into the match with identical win-loss records.

However, it's now Hyderabad who have a better chance of making it to the post-season, while Punjab will need to rely on other results going there way.
