Sunrisers Hyderabad's hopes of qualifying for the Indian Premier League playoffs have taken a major blow.

Kane Williamson's men lost to Royal Challengers Bangalore by four wickets on Saturday night.

After losing the toss and being made to bat first, Sunrisers made 175 for 7, a total that their opponents passes with four balls remaining.

The result means that Hyderabad now have to hope that Mumbai Indians help them make the playoffs by beating Kolkata Knight Riders later today.

Earlier on Saturday, Rajasthan Royals were eliminated after they lost to Delhi Capitals by five wickets.
