IPL: Pandya brothers and Chahar guide Mumbai to big win

Mumbai Indians moved up to second in the Indian Premier League (IPL) table after thrashing Delhi Capitals by 40 runs on Thursday.

After opting to bat at Feroz Shah Kotla stadium, Mumbai rode on Krunal Pandya’s unbeaten 37 (26 balls) to post a competitive score of 168-5.

In reply, the hosts could only manage 128-9 in their allotted 20 overs, with Shikhar Dhawan top-scoring with 35 runs.

Mumbai's 19-year-old leg-spinner Rahul Chahar claimed three wickets, while fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah took two.

Hardik Pandya was named Man of the Match for his quickfire 32 (15 balls). He also took the wicket of Kagiso Rabada and was excellent on the field.

Meanwhile, in Friday's encounter, Kolkata Knight Rides will host Royal Challengers Bangalore at 6:30 PM UAE time.
