The 24-year-old carded an eight under par 62 to finish on 16 under at Lahinch Golf Club, two shots ahead of Bernd Wiesberger and Andy Sullivan.

Rahm had started the final day five shots behind overnight leader Robert Rock but hit eight birdies and an eagle to claim his second Dubai Duty Free Irish Open title and fourth European Tour crown.

Rock, meanwhile, made a level-par 70 in his final round to finish tied for fourth, with Eddie Pepperell and Dubai-based Rafa Cabrera Bello on 13 under.
