Kolkata overcome Bangalore in IPL eliminator

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by four wickets in the Indian Premier League's eliminator on Monday.

Chasing RCB's modest score of 138-7, KKR won the game in Sharjah with two balls remaining (139-6).

Sunil Narine was the standout performer for Kolkata with his bowling figures of 4-21 and a vital contribution of 26 (15 balls) with the bat.

Skipper Virat Kohli top-scored for RCB with a steady 39 off 33 balls.

Kolkata will next face Delhi Capitals in Qualifier 2 in Sharjah on Wednesday.
