Kuwait secured a 2-1 victory over the UAE in the second round of the Arabian Gulf Football Cup, also known as "Khaleeji Zain 26," held at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium on Tuesday evening.

With this win, Kuwait advanced to 4 points, sharing the top spot in their group with Oman, who also triumphed over Qatar by the same scoreline.

The UAE initially took the lead in the 5th minute with a header from striker Caio Canedo, assisted by Harib Abdullah’s superb delivery.

However, Kuwait responded swiftly, leveling the match in the 16th minute through Mohammed Daham’s goal.

Towards the end of the game, Kuwait’s Muath Al-Enezi struck the decisive blow, scoring in the 89th minute to seal the win.

With the result, UAE remains on 1 point, and their hopes for reaching the semifinals now hinge on the outcome of the final round.

The group stage concludes next Friday with UAE facing Oman at Jaber Al-Mubarak Stadium, while Kuwait will take on Qatar at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium.
