Liverpool have taken control of their Champions League quarter-final with Porto.

They recorded a 2-0 victory in the first leg at Anfield thanks to first-half goals from Naby Keita and Roberto Firmino.

Moussa Marega missed a slew of chances as Porto failed to score a precious away goal.

Elsewhere, Tottenham scored a late goal to give themselves a 1-0 victory over Manchester City in their Champions League quarter-final first leg.

Son Heung-min found the back of the net in the 78th minute to give the home side a well-deserved win.

However, Spurs suffered a blow when Harry Kane hobbled off after a challenge with Fabian Delph.

The England striker injured his left ankle and could be out for the rest of the season.
