France's Mike Lorenzo-Vera is on top of the leaderboard at the halfway stage of the season-ending DP World Tour Championship in Dubai.

The 34-year-old followed up his nine under par 63 in the opening round with a three under par 69 to lead Jon Rahm and Tommy Fleetwood by three shots.

Meanwhile two-time DP World Tour Championship winner Rory McIlroy struggled on what was a windy day at Jumeirah Golf Estates, carding a two over par 74.

The third round will be played on Saturday with Lorenzo-Vera and Fleetwood teeing off at 12:45 pm.
