Messi magic keeps Barcelona 10 points clear in La Liga

Lionel Messi scored twice to secure Barcelona a 2-0 victory against Espanyol at Camp Nou, to keep their 10-point lead at the top of La Liga.

The Barca star floated in a free-kick in the 71st minute and then delivered a late goal to extend Barcelona's lead.

Messi has now scored 41 goals this season, with 32 of them having come in just 29 league games.

Meanwhile, second-placed Atletico Madrid thrashed Alaves 4-0 later on Saturday.
