No proposal from Manchester United, says Jose Mourinho’s agent

Jose Mourinho's agent says there's been no offer from Manchester United to replace Louis van Gaal as manager. Jorge Mendes has denied reports of a deal being struck for his client to move to Old Trafford. Mourinho was sacked by Chelsea last week, while van Gaal’s position at United is under threat, after a run of six matches without a win. His team has dropped to fifth in the Premier League and crashed out of the Champions League in the group stage. United travel to Stoke on Boxing Day (December 26), before hosting Chelsea on December 28.
