Punjab Kings pulled off a 16-run win over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in a thrilling Indian Premier League encounter in Mullanpur on Tuesday.

Shreyas Iyer's men defended just 111 runs - the lowest total ever successfully defended in the tournament's history.

KKR looked in control at 62 for 2 during their chase, but Yuzvendra Chahal flipped the game on its head with a brilliant four-wicket haul, finishing with figures of 4 for 28.

Marco Jansen also chipped in with 3 for 17, as KKR collapsed to 95 all out in 15.1 overs.

Earlier, Harshit Rana led the charge for KKR with 3 for 25, helping bowl out the hosts for a modest total in 15.3 overs.

But despite the strong start, KKR couldn’t hold on, and Punjab walked away with a historic win.
