Record number of fans see McIlroy crowned champion

Record crowds attended the DP World Tour Championship at Jumeirah Golf Estates. Over 65,000 people saw 60 of the world’s best golfers compete for the AED 29.4 million prize fund. As usual, Friday was the busiest day, with almost 21,000 spectators. On Sunday, nearly 15,000 fans saw Rory McIlroy win the European Tour’s season-ending event, and claim the ‘Race to Dubai’ title in the process.
