South Africa clinched the Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens with a dominant 15-0 victory over New Zealand in the final.

The Boks went undefeated in pool play and continued that form in the knock-out stages to win their seventh Dubai 7s title.

Defending champions New Zealand had overcome the United States (26-5) and England (19-12) to set up the final, but South Africa proved too strong.

Meanwhile, England bounced back to win the bronze match against Samoa 19-17.

There was some comfort for New Zealand fans, as their women's team beat Canada 17-14 to retain their title.
