South Africa seals ODI series against Australia

South Africa have clinched the three-match One-Day International (ODI) series against Australia with a game to spare.

The hosts registered a six-wicket win in the second game at Bloemfontein to go 2-0 up in the contest.

Opener Janneman Malan, playing in just his second ODI, struck an unbeaten 129 to power the Proteas' chase of 272, which they completed with nine balls to spare.

Heinrich Klaasen contributed 51, while David Miller scored 37 not out. 

Fast bowler Lungi Ngidi earlier took a career-best 6-58 to dismiss the Aussies for 271. D'Arcy Short and Aaron Finch top-scored for the visitors with equal scores of 69.

The series finale will be played on Saturday in Potchefstroom.
