Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge

The Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge has been postponed following the death of Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid.

The news was posted in a statement on social media.

It said "The Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge sends its sincere condolences and sympathy to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and his family".

Organisers say a new date will be announced shortly.

More than 2,000 cyclists had been expected to take part in the 92-km challenge.
