Sri Lanka clean sweep Bangladesh

Sri Lanka crushed Bangladesh by 122 runs in the third and final ODI in Colombo to complete a series clean sweep.

The hosts scored 294 for 8 in the allotted 50 overs and then dismissed their opponents for 172 in 36 overs.

Angelo Mathews led the way for Sri Lanka with 87 off 90 balls, while all-rounder Dasun Shanaka hit 30 off 14 and also took three wickets for 27 runs.

Soumya Sarkar was the top scorer for Bangladesh, with 69 off 86 balls. 

It’s Sri Lanka’s first series whitewash in more than three years.
