UAE face Qatar in crucial World Cup qualifiers

Just days after securing a 2-1 victory over Oman, the UAE is closer to making their World Cup dream come true as they face Qatar in Doha's Jassim bin Hamad Stadium on Tuesday.

The UAE team must secure a win or a draw against Qatar during their fourth round of the Group A match to secure a direct berth for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

If they qualify, it will be their first World Cup appearance since 1990.

Thousands of UAE fans have flown to Qatar to support their team.

With only eight per cent of the tickets secured for UAE fans at the stadium, fans who didn't get tickets have been advised by the UAE Football Association to head to the Majlis Hall at Sheraton Hotel or the Joana Hall at Radisson Blu Hotel for special screening of the game.

The match kicks off at 9:00 pm.
