The UAE got their Twenty20 World Cup qualifier campaign back on track with a five-wicket win over Ireland, in Abu Dhabi.

After losing to Oman in their opening Group B game on Friday, the UAE made amends with a much better performance this time.

They dismissed Ireland for 125 and then reached their victory target with 18 balls remaining.

Rohan Mustafa starred with the bat and the ball in an all-round performance that saw him take 4-18 and then followed that up with a top score of 39 (16 balls).

It was the UAE's second T20 victory over Ireland in nine attempts.

In Saturday's other games, the British Channel Island of Jersey crushed Nigeria by 69 runs, Papua New Guinea registered a 10-wicket over Bermuda, while the Netherlands thrashed Namibia by 44 runs, and Scotland beat Kenya by 31 runs.
