UFC 242: I'll seal my legacy in Abu Dhabi, says Khabib

Khabib Nurmagomedov and Dustin Poirier will face off in the iconic UFC Octagon in Abu Dhabi

Khabib Nurmagomedov is expecting to seal his legacy when he takes on Dustin Poirier at UFC 242 in Abu Dhabi.

The lightweight champion returns to the Octagon on September 7 for the first time since his victory over Conor McGregor last year, but faces a tough challenge against the interim title holder.

Khabib says that he's relishing the chance to fight in the UAE capital and that the clash with Poirier is a big night for his MMA legacy as he aims to extend his undefeated streak, which currently stands at 27-0.

However, Poirier, who ended Max Holloway's 13-fight win streak in April to claim the interim belt, warned that he's ready to shock the world and make history by inflicting Khabib's first UFC defeat.
