India has revealed its budget on Monday, with a focus on the poor. The new budget will include rural aid and health programs and will be "spend prudently and wisely for the people, especially for the poor and downtrodden," Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said. This is a shift from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's previous focus on investment on infrastructure. Jaitley said the government wanted India's 1.3 billion-strong population to share the benefits of growth. The budget will focus on farming, social reforms and the banking sector, among others.
