In a landmark move for the region’s gold and jewellery industry, Ithra Dubai has officially launched the Dubai Gold District.

It's a purpose-built destination designed to strengthen the emirate's position as the world’s leading hub for gold and jewellery trade.

Developed as a unified destination, Dubai Gold District brings the entire gold and jewellery value chain under one roof, spanning retail, bullion, wholesale trade and investment.

By consolidating these activities, the District further cements Dubai’s reputation as one of the world’s most trusted destinations for gold.

A future highlight will be the world’s first Gold Street — a street constructed using gold elements— with further details to be revealed in phases.

Positioned as Dubai’s new 'Home of Gold', the District hosts a wide mix of leading global and regional brands and stands out for its unmatched diversity of visitors.

In 2025 alone, it welcomed shoppers from over 147 nationalities, underlining Dubai’s status as a truly global marketplace.

The District features more than 1,000 retailers across gold, jewellery, perfumery, cosmetics and lifestyle, supported by six hotels offering over 1,000 guest rooms.

With new Big Bus routes added in 2025, Dubai Gold District is now even more accessible, enhancing its appeal as a major retail and tourism destination.

The launch also reflects the UAE’s growing influence in global gold trade.

In 2024-25, the country exported more than $53 billion worth of gold, trading with key markets including Switzerland, the UK, India, Hong Kong and Turkey — making the UAE the world’s second-largest physical gold trading destination.
