Over 65 per cent of roles within the COP28 leadership team and 50 per cent of positions in the COP28 management team are filled by Emirati women.
New figures released by the UAE Mission to the UN also show that Emirati women hold 80 per cent of the roles in the Hope Probe’s scientific team and 75 per cent of jobs in education and health sectors.
The stats were revealed in a tweet by the UAE Mission to the UN that read: "Launched by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the slogan of this year’s #EmiratiWomensDay 2023 is "We Collaborate for Tomorrow". This means that the sky is the limit for the future of Emirati women in all fields—from diplomacy and business to science and the arts."

The figures come after the UAE celebrated this year’s Emirati Women’s Day.
