H.H. Sheikh Hamdan reviews progress on Dubai Loop project

Work is progressing on the Dubai Loop passenger transport tunnel project, a major future mobility initiative designed to enhance connectivity in high-density urban areas.

During a meeting in Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, reviewed the latest developments with Steve Davis, President of US-based The Boring Company, and other senior executives.

The discussions focused on progress since the project agreement was signed in February, including the assembly of the tunnel boring machine and the casting of concrete tunnel-lining segments.

Dubai Loop will feature an underground transport network using electric vehicles, providing flexible urban mobility and first- and last-mile transport solutions.
