Residents and visitors to the Emirates can now explore the birthplace of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The royal fort at Al Muwaiji oasis in Al Ain was the home of many of Abu Dhabi's rulers until the 1970s, and has now been opened to the public. After years of restoration work, the fort has opened as a historic building and museum.
