Jordanian girl arrives in Dubai for treatment funded by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed

Jordanian Katya Abu Al-Saud, who suffers from spinal muscular atrophy, has arrived in Dubai to begin life-saving treatment covered by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Dubai Media Office earlier announced that Sheikh Mohammed responded to an online appeal from the 15-month-old's family to raise $2.4 million for a treatment that was not available in her home country. 

Katya will being treatment at Al Jalila Children's Specialty Hospital.
