KHDA reminds Dubai private schools to follow unified academic calendar

Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has reminded private schools in the emirate to adhere to the unified academic calendar for 2026-27, issued by the Ministry of Education earlier this year.

In a statement shared with ARN, KHDA said schools are expected to ensure their academic schedules align with the dates set out in the Ministry’s calendar.

The authority also stressed the importance of schools clearly publishing their calendars and communicating key dates to their wider school communities, including students, parents and staff.

The reminder aims to ensure consistency in academic schedules and help families plan effectively for the new school year.

It comes after some schools initially announced October mid-term break dates that did not align with the unified calendar.
