Seven people were injured after a fuel tanker caught fire in Fujairah's Al Bithnah area on Thursday.
The police said the injuries ranged from minor to severe and the fire has been brought fully under control.
An injured Asian man was earlier airlifted to hospital by the National Search and Rescue Centre in coordination with the Fujairah Police.
Following the incident, the authorities had temporarily closed Sheikh Maktoum Road to traffic in both directions, from Al Bithnah area to Al Farfar roundabout.
The road was later re-opened.
