Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority has been presented with the Dubai-it Award for Institutions in the Field of Government.
The RTA has been highlighted for making the Dubai-it philosophy part of its institutional culture and way of working by delivering ambitious projects at speed, to a high standard, with measurable results.
These projects include delivering major roads and bridges in record time, including the iconic Infinity Bridge, a defining landmark in Dubai’s urban landscape.
The RTA has also advanced daily life with AI-powered autonomous taxis, expanding a high-quality cycling network across the city and developing Dubai’s air taxi station.
It also introduced a system that identifies and resolves road issues within 24 hours, accelerated dozens of vehicle and driver services to rank among the world’s fastest, and achieved 99.7 per cent on-time performance across Dubai Metro operations.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai said: "The RTA has made the 'Dubai-it' approach present in its largest projects and smallest details… It completes major road, bridge and tunnel projects at twice the global average speed and efficiency, while maintaining high quality.
"This is how we want our institutions: ahead."
