Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has implemented a series of traffic improvements at Al Qiyadah Intersection, aimed at easing congestion and improving traffic flow.
The upgrades include a new left-turn lane from Al Ittihad Road towards Abu Hail Street and Salah Al Din Street, increasing the intersection’s capacity and making it easier for vehicles to move through the area.
Traffic signal timings have also been adjusted to match the new road layout, along with road and pavement upgrades and improvements to nearby parking areas.
The RTA expects the changes to increase the intersection’s capacity and reduce waiting times by up to 15 per cent during peak hours.
Al Qiyadah Intersection sits along Al Ittihad Road, a major route connecting Dubai and Sharjah, and helps distribute traffic to key roads in Deira, including Abu Hail, Salah Al Din and Al Quds Streets.
