UAE astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi and his crewmates aboard the International Space Station (ISS) have held a welcome ceremony for Crew-7 astronauts Jasmin Moghbeli, Andreas Mogensen, Satoshi Furukawa and cosmonaut Konstantin Borisov.
The Crew-7 astronauts left the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida aboard a SpaceX carrier rocket to begin their adventure on the ISS, where they will spend six months carrying out scientific investigations and station maintenance.

The crew’s flight had been delayed as NASA took more time to ensure all the spacecraft’s systems were working properly.
Al Neyadi is due to begin his journey home on September 1 with his three colleagues on the ISS.
