UAE expats earn around AED 38,000 per month. That’s according to HSBC’s Expat Explorer survey, which says the UAE provides many career opportunities including generous benefits packages. The survey indicates that the Emirates’ thriving economy is one reason for high salary levels. The results show expats earn around AED 6,120 more per month than professionals elsewhere. Overall, the survey ranks the UAE number nine globally for expats to live. It says the country keeps attracting expats due to better job opportunities, benefits packages and higher salaries even though high costs of living and school fees are concerns. The country was also ranked as the second best city globally for expats to start a business. Singapore, New Zealand and Sweden are the top three countries for expats.
