The UAE government has helped repatriate a pregnant UAE resident who was stranded in the United States with her family.
Hannah O’Reilly was included in a rescue mission of more than 200 UAE students and other nationals after she applied to the ‘Tawajudi for Residents’ programme.
She told the Emirates News Agency, WAM, that she was visiting family in New Jersey, when all flights were cancelled and her travel insurance policy ran out.
At six-months pregnant she says she wanted to return home to Abu Dhabi: to her husband, her doctors, and her health insurance.
She says she's very grateful to the UAE embassy and everyone who helped her return to her adopted country.
