His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, has met with Gideon Sa’ar, Israel’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, in Abu Dhabi.
They discussed the strengthening of bilateral relations and addressed the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
The meeting focused on regional and international efforts for a sustainable ceasefire, with the UAE minister stressing the need for renewed political negotiations toward a two-state solution.
Sheikh Abdullah emphasized the importance of a permanent ceasefire, protecting civilians and facilitating humanitarian aid.
He also stressed the urgent need for collective international action to reduce tensions and promote peace and stability in the Middle East.
Sheikh Abdullah reiterated the UAE’s support for the mediation efforts of Qatar, Egypt and the United States in securing a prisoner exchange and a lasting ceasefire.
He added that the UAE remains committed to supporting the Palestinian people and their right to self-determination, continuing its humanitarian efforts in the region.
