UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney have discussed ways to strengthen ties between the two countries during a phone call.
The two leaders focused on expanding cooperation in key sectors, including trade, investment, energy, technology and artificial intelligence.
They welcomed the successful conclusion of negotiations on a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, describing it as a major step towards boosting economic and investment cooperation.
Sheikh Mohamed and Carney also exchanged views on regional and international developments, including the situation in the Middle East, and reaffirmed the importance of promoting peace, security and stability in the region.
