Abu Dhabi-Fujairah route sees 150,000 passengers in first 3 months

Etihad Rail welcomed 150,000 passengers on its Abu Dhabi-Fujairah train routes during the first three months of launch, announced Executive Director of Commercial and Support Adhraa AlMansoori.

During an interview with Dubai Eye's The Business Breakfast show, AlMansoori said that significant demand is also expected following the launch of Dubai's Al Yalayis station on Wednesday.

While passengers used the Abu Dhabi- Fujairah route for corporate, educational and medical travel, the Dubai route could cater to tourists.

With five trips scheduled between Abu Dhabi and Dubai daily, AlMansoori said the route timings were selected to accommodate the schedules of all passengers in the UAE.

Passengers can book tickets on Etihad Rail’s website and mobile app, with 'Comfort' priced at AED 39 and 'Premium' at AED 109 and AED 129.

Meanwhile, tickets between Abu Dhabi and Fujairah start from AED 55 for 'Comfort' and AED 169 for 'Premium'.
