Abu Dhabi reopens more public parks, beaches

More public beaches and parks have been reopened in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafrah, with stringent safety rules in place.

It marks the third stage of resumption of activities in the emirate following the shutdown to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

Making the announcement, the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) in Abu Dhabi reminded residents to maintain social distancing guidelines and wear masks at all times.

Thermal cameras will be placed at entrances of the facilities, with number of people in a group limited to five.

Food and beverage outlets will operate at 30 per cent seating capacity, with a maximum of four people per table and a minimum of 2.5 metre distance between tables.

Meanwhile, play areas will remain closed and parking spaces will be at 50 per cent capacity.
