flydubai airline cancelled flights to the Iranian capital Tehran on Friday after receiving an official alert.
In a statement sent to ARN News, flydubai said flight FZ 1929 from Dubai to Tehran returned to Dubai due to the closure of Tehran Airport (IKA).
“In line with the issued NOTAM, our flights to Iran today have been cancelled,” the airline said.
The carrier said it is closely monitoring the situation and "will make changes to our flight paths in consultation with the relevant authorities".
This is after reports of explosions near the Iranian city of Isfahan.
US sources suggest Israel was behind the attack.
