Traffic diversions will be in place along Dubai's Sheikh Zayed Road for three days, coinciding with COP28 and the UAE's Union Day celebrations.
According to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), the Abu Dhabi-bound stretch of the highway will be affected, from the Trade Centre Roundabout to the Expo Intersection.
This diversion will be in place from 7:00 am to 11:00 am, from December 1-3.
Speaking to Dubai Eye's The Agenda, Badr Al Siri, the Executive Director of the Traffic Department for RTA, talked through the alternative routes available.
The RTA has recommended the use of alternative routes such as Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Road, Emirates Road, Al Khail Road, Jumeirah Road, Al Wasl Road and Al Khail Road.
It also called on people to use public transportation, and advised motorists to follow directional signage and updates on smart screens for temporary traffic diversions and alternative route options.
