Dubai International Airport (DXB) is preparing for one of its busiest periods of the year, with around three million passengers expected to pass through its terminals during the first half of July.

The summer travel rush begins on July 2 as residents head overseas for the school holidays, with July 12 forecast to be the busiest day, when more than 225,000 passengers are expected to travel through the airport.

Dubai Airports says daily traffic will regularly exceed 200,000 passengers, while around half of all travellers will be connecting through DXB, underlining the airport's role as one of the world's busiest international hubs.

To help manage the surge, Dubai Airports and its oneDXB partners have activated a summer readiness plan aimed at keeping journeys running smoothly.

Passengers are advised to arrive no earlier than three hours before departure, check in online where possible and ensure they are familiar with entry requirements for their destination.

Emirates customers can also take advantage of home, city and self-service check-in options, while families travelling with children aged 12 and over can use Smart Gates to speed up passport control.

Travellers are reminded to pack spare batteries and power banks in their hand luggage only and to monitor flight and gate information using DXB Express Maps.

People of Determination will continue to receive enhanced assistance, including dedicated accessibility routes, trained staff and an Assisted Travel Lounge in Terminal 2.

Passengers departing from Terminal 3 can also visit the new "I Heart DXB" installation in Concourse B, where they can upload a selfie to become part of a digital mosaic celebrating Dubai before they depart. Alongside it, guests can contribute to a wall of handwritten notes

The experience extends beyond the installation, with rewards unlocked at participating shops throughout the airport, including souvenirs and
exclusive offers.
