Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has opened a new bridge that provides a direct entry from Sheikh Zayed Road to Dubai Harbour.
The 1,500-metre bridge includes two lanes supporting motorists coming from Jebel Ali and Deira, with a capacity of 6,000 vehicles per hour.
The new addition also eases traffic congestion by reducing travel time from 12 minutes to 3 minutes.
The project also includes several development works and surface improvements at the intersections extending along the bridge corridor, including a bridge from Dubai Harbour towards Al Naseem Street that is set to open in July.
