Sharjah Police refutes reports of murder victim's family going missing

Sharjah Police have denied media reports claiming that the wife and son of a murder victim went missing after the crime was reported, adding that they returned to their home country following completion of the investigation.

In a statement released on official social media handles, Sharjah Police clarified that no missing-person report was filed against the family.

They added that investigations into the murder, which was committed last month, stands closed, and the suspects apprehended.

Sharjah Police said specialised teams were able to uncover details of the crime based on evidence collected from the crime scene and forensic examination of the victim's body.

The case has been referred to the Public Prosecution for further legal action.

Sharjah Police reiterated the importance of obtaining information from official sources and urged media outlets from publishing unverified reports.
