The UAE has succeeded in mediating the release of 100 prisoners of war from Russia and Ukraine, marking the third exchange since the beginning of the year.
Making the announcement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it reflects the UAE's "strong friendly relations" with both Moscow and Kyiv.
In January, the UAE mediated two prisoner swap deals - the first saw more than 200 freed from the two countries, while the second saw the release of more than 195 soldiers.
The ministry added the call for diplomacy, dialogue, and de-escalation, the national news agency WAM reported.
It also offered both further humanitarian efforts and to find a peaceful solution to the war.
In December 2022, the UAE succeeded in leading mediation efforts that secured the release of US basketball star Brittney Griner in a prisoner swap with Russia.
