His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, has launched the Dubai Cyber Index.
The initiative, which is the first of its kind in the world, will support the efforts of government entities by ensuring the highest standards of cyber security are met.
It also seeks to establish Dubai as the safest cyberspace in the world.
The newly introduced index is aligned with the emirate's Cyber Security Strategy, which aims to protect the city from a range of cyber security risks and support its economic growth.
In a tweet, the Dubai Media Office has clarified that it will also be a part of the city’s efforts to "drive rapid technological progress and digital transformation."
